How to do use online learning? Tips of suggestions for other families on how it has worked or not worked for your student?

Personal story: I realized early on that after my boys started gaming that I had to be careful about what they learned online, not only because they were tempted to switch gears and play a game, but their mentality towards using a device was the goal was to beat the game not actually learn.
