Moms often have a hard time "getting it all in" especially when the kids LOVE to have her read aloud to them...all the time!

Jim and Monica know these things too, because they home-educated their children all the way through High School and read to their kids all the time.

Jim and Monica are committed Christians, married for 45 years, parents of 3 grown home-schooled children, and Jim is a Navy retiree while Monica is a veteran.  Monica once asked Jim what his dream job would be. He answered, "I'd record books."  And so began Jim Hodges Audio Books, producing unabridged recordings of the G. A. Henty historical novels, children’s books, Overtly Christian titles, and classic literature.  Jim has now recorded over 100 books, and loves his job! 

Jim began his speaking career at the age of 7 when his 2nd-grade teacher asked him to read a page from a Dick and Jane book.  Since Jim knew punctuation, the exclamation point at the end of “Run Dick, run!” indicated that this was an exciting sentence that Jim happily enunciated.  34 years later, after volunteering to read aloud any chance he got, performing solos in church, acting in High School, college, and community theater, narrating training films and news-casting while in the Navy, it was finally time to see if he could actually turn his love for performing into a career. With over 100 recordings to his audiobook credit, he plans on continuing as long as his voice holds out!
